Reviews about The Home Depot
- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★January 15, 2020, by Mariel SturmIsaac helped my husband and I find a very specific trailer part and he even walked with us to the parking lot and helped us troubleshoot a solution until we found the best lock for the situation. We were very greatful that he helped us find an inexpensive way to protect our $10,000 trailer. He also mentioned that he is in the army reserves and it warms my heart to know Home Depot is employing vets. Great company, great store, great people.
- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆May 21, 2019, by Rachel ShiffletDO NOT PURCHASE APPLIANCES HERE. UPDATE: CUSTOMER SERVICE IS JUST AS INCOMPETENT. We bought a washer/dryer here about a month ago. Delivery and installation went fine. However the washer began to shake violently and leak water on the very first run. We reported the issue to the Home Depot, who assured us that the issue would be resolved quickly (after all, we sprung for the $200 extended protection plan). Fast forward 10 days, we call back to discover our ticket was never submitted. Finally our replacement arrives. We go to run the first load, and while the shaking is gone, the washer now does not drain. So here we are, $2700 and 3.5 weeks later, and still can't do laundry. We got in contact with a regional manager a few days ago, and explained the situation. He informed us that a replacement will be arriving some time in the next 7 days (no firm date as of this writing). I suppose I am expected to take a third day off work to resolve this (fool me once?). Went in to the physical store location this morning to see if I could find a sympathetic store manager. The woman who presented herself as a store manager made it immediately apparent that she could care less. Before I even opened my mouth she had an air of annoyance that I would bring this to her. She informed me that because it was Sunday there was very little she could do except leave a "note in the system" for someone else to handle later. I have never felt more abandoned as a customer making what was (for me) a large purchase. Still waiting for someone to call me back. Honestly at this point I just want them to come pick up their paperweights and refund me my money. I was willing to do this dance a third time with them, but my in store experience this morning has pushed me to the point of just wanting to cut my losses and go to Lowe's (and you should too!) Long story short: save yourself the headache and look elsewhere for any sort of serious purchase. They can handle drill bits and wrenches fine, but completely fall apart when trying to deliver anything bigger. Call customer service and they said that I could only talk to the store about this, which is unfair because the store is refusing to help.
