  Went to Conn’s today to purchase an adjustable bed/ mattress Salesperson was very helpful. We chose a bed and mattress and was given a price just under 5700. This took some time as salesperson had to clarify price with someone else. We then sat down to Pay and arrange delivery. On order price ended up being 7600 which was well over quoted price. I indicated that was a big difference from what was quoted. Salesperson went back to check with someone else and came back with higher price still. I asked if there was something that could be done... a discount of some sort to make up for the error. He checked with management and answer was NO. I still purchased the bed because we had now spent 2.5 hours in store and my wife has a bad back so we needed the bed and it is hard enough for her to go out to shop so I did not want to make her start The process somewhere else. I did not expect the store to reduce the price to the original quote, but I did feel that any reputable company that focused on customer service could have given a small discount to provide good customer relations. Maybe just a small amount like 100 off of final price. Anything small to just make it look better, a gift card, something to show good faith, because it appeared that a bate and switch tactic was used. I continued the purchase because I needed the bed and again did not want to put my wife through distress by going elsewhere but this company had lost me for any future purchase because of the lack of customer service I feel a minimal discount could have kept me as a customer and would have had me praising the store to anyone that would listen.
